Pastor Jonathan Gray, Chief Executive Officer

Adult & Teen Challenge of Maryland holds profound significance in Jonathan's journey. Growing up in the Lincoln Heights neighborhood, Jonathan was deeply influenced by the center, immersing himself in the atmosphere of biblical studies and discipleship. His commitment led to the attainment of an honorary certificate of completion, propelling him to seminary school. After getting married, raising a family, and embarking on a spiritual journey, Jonathan has returned to his roots at Adult & Teen Challenge of Maryland.

Since 2012, he has served as the Executive Director, dedicating himself to the program that played a pivotal role in transforming his life. Pastor Jonathan also fulfills the role of Lead Pastor at New Song Community Church in Washington, D.C., where our students find solace and spiritual connection within their "home church."

Michael Carrion, Program Director

Michael Carrion's journey with Teen Challenge began in 2009 upon his graduation from the program. Despite grappling with his calling for years, he eventually found his way back to Teen Challenge, seeking clarity and direction in his life's purpose. Unforeseen to him, Capitol Heights Teen Challenge would emerge as the platform for God's unfolding plan. Presently, Michael serves humbly as the Program Director of the very program that once rescued him. He considers it an immense privilege to offer support and guidance to both students and staff on their paths to transformation. Anticipating the future of Capitol Heights with eagerness, Michael is grateful for the opportunity to witness its growth and impact firsthand, acknowledging that God's hand guides their journey.
